How was your 1st year of dental school? Was it what you thought it would be? What was the hardest part about the year? How did you handle it all? Listen and Learn as I speak to rising 2nd year dental student Jeremy Ho as he discusses his successes of his 1st of school at the University of Toronto in Canada. Student Dr Ho gives great insight into the differences of the application and interview processes between Canadian and US schools, with emphasis on the 3 Canadian schools McGill, Western and Univ of Toronto. They use a MMI and CASPER pre-interview process. Also he shares the challenges parts about the 1st year, what he liked best, what he would do differently both as an applicant and 1st year student, and advice for those applying to and/or starting dental school.
